YOUR PET

To capture the essence and uniqueness of your pet, it is greatly helpful to have as many high quality photographs as you can provide.  Though it is possible to work from one photograph, it limits the amount of detail I can work into the painting.  

TIPS FOR THE BEST PET PHOTOS

Take many different photos from the level of your pet. Either put your pet on a piece of furniture or kneel down to his height. This brings your pet's eye level to you and your camera. Use a telephoto lens with an automatic focus since animals move quickly and often.  Take the photos further away from your pet so it won't be distorted.  Watch the background!  Try to take photos in front of light backgrounds if your pet is dark-colored.  Take photos in front of darker backgrounds if your pet is light-colored.  It's best to keep backgrounds simple and uncluttered.

PHOTO QUALITY

To make your pet's portrait as lifelike as possible, I will need the most high quality photos you can provide.  Your photos will be returned along with the completed portrait.  After we've made the initial arrangements, please mail your photos to my home address: 215 Church Road - Fairview, NC 28730.  If for some reason I can't use your photos, you will be contracted immediately.

PRICING

Prices vary according to size and number of subjects.  Please refer to PET PORTRAIT PRICING on my website.  It is possible to include more than one pet in a portrait, but the price will be adjusted accordingly.

METHOD OF PAYMENT

Before I start to paint your pet's portrait I require a deposit of 50%. I use Paypal for money transactions because it's simple and secure. All you have to do is register and fill out your details to use your Credit/debit card. After that you will receive a confirmation email of your payment. Paypal guarantees that credit and debit card transactions are 100% secure and accept MasterCard, Visa, Amex, and Discover.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

From the time I receive the photographs to the time the portrait is completed and dried will be approximately 4 weeks.  This depends on the number of paintings I am currently working on and in what order the painting was commissioned.  If you want to ask specifically when the portrait will be completed, please email or call me at 828-778-2224 and I will immediately reply.

WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?

Included in the price of your portrait is FREE shipping anywhere in the U.S. via UPS with a tracking number, all State sales taxes, and a Certificate of Authenticity.  I use deep edge gallery canvas and nicely paint the edges.  No frame is needed to display your painting, but you can request a shallow canvas (3/4") if you prefer.

WHEN DO I PAY THE BALANCE?

When your pet portrait is completed, you'll be notified by email.  You can then go to Paypal to pay the remaining 50%.

HOW IS IT PACKED?

Your pet's portrait will be professionally packaged to protect against any damage.  It will be shipped by UPS and I will email you the tracking number.  If the portrait is a gift, please provide the address you'd like your pet portrait shipped.
